Adequate housing, considered by many to be a fundamental human right, is a universal human need. Although the “blueprint” or standard varies with culture and geography, everyone wants to live in a decent home. Because of natural disasters, war, population growth, migration to urban areas, and insufficient financial and natural resources, the United Nations estimates that there are over 100 million homeless people and over 1 billion people worldwide living in inadequate housing.

TSC Global’s mission is to provide refugees, displaced persons and slum residents in the developing world with high quality, low cost shelter. We build roofs using an age old construction material, cement, modified with latex and adapted to a modern shape, a hyperbolic paraboloid. This combination of shape and materials creates a thin shell composite (TSC) roof that is less than 1 cm thick yet is more durable, earthquake and wind resistant, quieter, and cooler than traditional roof systems such as thatch, iron sheet, tile or poured concrete. Our TSC roofs will adapt to any wall system. The company offers an incredibly innovative and safe wall solution:  Cellular Lightweight Concrete (CLC) block and panels.

TSC Global’s marketplace is the developing world selling to humanitarian organizations, international aid agencies and government institutions working in the housing and infrastructure sectors. Our building system is unequaled in both transitional and permanent housing applications. It is also an ideal solution for light commercial buildings such as medical clinics, marketplaces and schools. During construction, TSC Global trains local craftspeople in TSC construction methods thereby conveying the technologies to local builders and entrepreneurs. Our projects not only provide housing and commercial buildings but also create jobs and inject capital into local markets increasing economic development in the community.
