Beautiful Bangladesh

Our corner of Bangladesh has some of the most gorgeous scenery anywhere in the world. Our project with Terre des hommes is on the southern tip of Bangladesh near the Bay of Bengal. This is a low land region of tidal rivers where everyone lives on a small plot with adjacent fresh water ponds for water collection, washing and bathing. The land’s beauty turns chaotic when cyclones churn into the river delta. Homes are swamped with 12′ – 15′ tidal surges and winds commonly in excess of 200 km per hour (Cat III Hurricane Strength). Cyclones are so common it is not a matter of “if” they will hit the people here again, but “when”. TSC HyPar Roofs may set a new standard for construction here eliminating the flimsy corrugated sheet that turns deadly in cyclone winds.
